How Reclaimed Brick grew organic revenue ~80% YoY on Shopify

Starting point

Reclaimed Brick operates a large Shopify catalogue of unique reclaimed lots from a Sheffield yard. Organic revenue underperformed against stock depth.

Product titles followed duplicated patterns. Yard collections had thin or missing intro copy. Image-heavy PDPs loaded slowly on mobile.

Search behaviour we had to match

Trade buyers search precisely by material and delivery area. Homeowners browse broader terms but still use location when collection matters.

The site had to rank for national delivery and local yard visits without duplicate URLs fighting each other.

What we changed

Template and structure work first. No six-month blog calendar before redirects and indexation were clean.

  • Material-led collections. Brick, stone, and timber hubs with unique copy on every hub page.
  • Lot-specific PDP rules. Titles and meta aligned to material search terms, not boilerplate.
  • Speed on top-traffic materials. Compression and template fixes on pages that already had impressions.
  • Local schema and internal links. Yard, delivery, and category pages linked with LocalBusiness signals.
  • Sold-lot discipline. Live stock indexed, sold lots handled so crawl budget was not wasted.

Result

Organic revenue grew roughly 80% year on year. Search became a primary enquiry channel for trade and homeowner buyers.

The same approach applies to other architectural salvage and reclaimed material yards on Shopify.
